World Congress 2005
|
I was fortunate enough to have attended the Afghan Hound
World Congress in South Africa in May 2005. It was a wonderful experience. I made many good friends, visited a beautiful country and learned a lot from the speakers and guests presenting at the Congress. The venue was spectacular at the Sun City Resort. Everyone involved with the Congress did a wonderful job and it was extremely well organized. After the Congress, we visited the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and saw a variety of exotic animals close up. I would encourage everyone to attend at least one World Congress, it's definitely worth the trip. The next Afghan Hound World Congress will be held in Sweden on July 7-8, 2008 near Stockholm and will be a collaboration of the Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian Afghan Hound clubs. The World Dog Show will be held on the weekend before. Sighthounds will be shown on on July 5-6th. The website for the events is: http://www.ahwc2008.com.
